Gratin Dauphinois
Ingredients
1 Kg good quality potatoes
2 cloves of garlic crushed
10 Fl oz cream
10 Fl oz Milk
Salt and Freshly milled Pepper
Method
Preheat oven to 150C
Butter a 12 inch shallow gratin / oven proof dish
Peel the potatoes and slice them thinly.
Place the potatoes with the milk, cream, garlic salt and pepper into a large saucepan and bring to the boil.
Allow to boil for 2-3 minutes and then transfer to the buttered dish.
Place dish in the oven for 50 minutes, until cooked.
