Eunice Power Of Powersfield House Winner in the 2004 National Porridge Making Competition

Breakfast a Powersfield House is an absolute treat. Everything is handmade from the delicious jams and chutneys to the infamous brown bread. Eunice was the County Waterford winner of the 2004 and 2005 National Porridge Making Competition, her oatmeal treats are not to be missed. Breakfast is served from 8.00am to 10.00am…or later. Breakfast in bed is also available. Our Breakfast menu is based around fresh seasonal ingredients, cooked to perfection giving you an excellent start to the day.

Breakfast usually includes a selection from the following….

Freshly squeezed fruit juice or our locally made Crinnaghtaun Apple juice

Greek Yoghurt with Granola, bananas and Cappagh Runny Honey
Apple Muesli
Poached rhubarb in rosewater syrup with strawberries
Nutty Porridge with crispy oatmeal
Fresh Fruit Compote
And other seasonal specialities

Tomatoes and mushrooms with goats cheese on toast and apple chutney
Helvic smoked salmon with scrambled eggs
Grilled bacon, French toast and maple syrup
Bruchetta with Clonakilty black pudding and apple and cinnamon butter

Dungarvan is one of Irelands best kept secrets. Situated on a little peninsula with the most beautiful beaches and only minutes away from mountains and leafy woodlands. Nearby is the bountiful Blackwater River, perfect for fly fishing. The town itself is a busy market town with excellent shops, restaurants and superb art galleries. Powersfield house is an ideal location from which to explore West Waterford.
